Effects of TSYZ Formula on Learning-Memory and Aβ1-40 Levels in Hippocampus and Cortex of AD Model Mice
Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the effects of TSYZ formula on learning-memory and the depositions of beta-amyloid(Aβ1-40) in hippocampus and cortex of aged dementia model mice induced by AlCl3.MethodsThe aged dementia model mice were induced by long-term i.g AlCl3 . The abilities of learning-memory were tested by Morris water maze .The methods of immunohistochemistry were used to detect the deposition changes of beta-amyloid(Aβ1-40) .ResultsIn TSYZ formula groups ,the mean escape latency and the mean searching distance in place navigation decreased significantly (P<0.05, P<0.01),and the mean gradation of hippocampus and cortex increased(P<0.01).ConclusionThe protective effects of TSYZ formula on learning-memory of AD model mice are remarkable. The machanism may be achieved by preventing Aβ1-40 from depositing and clearing deposited Aβ1-40.
