Influence of Traditional Chinese Medicine Tiannianyin on Immune Function of Aging Rats
Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the influence of traditional Chinese medicine Tiannianyin on immune function of aging rats. Methods40 SD rats were divided into 4 groups at random: normal group, aging model group, Tiannianyin group and negative control group, each group had 10 rats. The subacutely aging model rats were made by injecting D-gal into abdominal cavity continually. ELISA was used to detect the IL-2 and IL-6 contents in serum, MMT to detect the proliferation and transformation of spleen lymphocyte, and the macrophagic phagocytosis was also observed. ResultsTiannianyin not only significantly increased the IL-2 content, the proliferation and transformation of spleen lymphocyte and the macrophagic phagocytosis of aging rats (Tiannianyin group compared with aging group: P<0.01, P<0.05 ); but also obviously decreased the IL-6 content of aging rats (Tiannianyin group compared with aging group: P<0.01). ConclusionTianninyin can strengthen the immune function of aging rats, so it has fairly anti-aging effects.
