Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the effect on autorhythmicity and contraction of isolated right atrium of guinea pig with 3'daidzein sulfonate sodium(DSS),and its mechanism.MethodsAfter treated with DSS,the characteristics of isolated right atriums were investigated, including autorhythmicity, contraction scale, contraction velocity and relaxation speed. ResultsThe autorhythmicity of the isolated right atriums were inhibited after treated with DSS. Moreover, their contraction scale, contraction velocity and relaxation speed were significantly reduced in a dose-dependent manner. ConclusionDSS can inhibit autorhythmicity of the isolated right atrium, and significantly reduce their contraction scale, contraction velocity and relaxation speed in a dose-dependent manner. Their mechanism may be related to blocking of voltage-gate calcium channel and inhibition of calcium releasing in sarcoplasmic reticulum.
