Therapeutic Effect of WeiWeiFang(WWF) on Acetic Acid-induced Gastric Ulcer and the Levels of GAS and EGF in Rats
Abstract:ObjectiveTo discuss the therapeutic effect and mechanism of WWF on peptic ulcer(PU). MethodsTo observe the change of ulcer area and pH of gastric juice, and analyse the slice up of pathology by the optics microscope by the method of acetic acid-inducted gastric ulcer. Levels of GAS and EGF serum were determined by specific radioimmunoassay method.Results①The effect was significant when cured by WWF,especially in mid-dose group when observed under the optical microscope.②The change of pH of gastric juice was evident in model group compared with cured groups(P<0.05).③ The difference was significant (P<0.05) while compare the curative effect on ulcer areas in control group of WFF with that in cured groups, and the effect was the best in the mid-dose group (P<0.01). ④ The levels of GAS in serum were higher in cured groups of WFF than those in model group and control group. But the difference was not significant. ⑤The level of EGF in WWF groups decreased,mid-dose group had the best effect(P<0.01〕.ConclusionThere is evident therapeutic effect of WWF on PU. And it's mechanism is correlated to the defense of GAS and EGF.
