Effect of Radix Rhapontical Extract on SOD, MDA and αSMA in Rats with Liver Fibrosis Induced by CCl4
Abstract:Objective To study the effect of effect of Radix Rhapontical extract on SOD, MDA and αSMA in rats with Liver Fibrosis Induced by CCl4. Methods 50 male rats were divided into normal, model, Radix Rhapontical and colchicin group. The activity of SOD and the content of MDA were investigated using colorimetric measurement. Degrees of fibrosis and αSMA were determined by histopathology under microscope. Results The activity of SOD was higher than that of Radix Rhapontical group and the content MDA decreased; αSMA expression showed that the degrees of liver fibrosis in Radix Rhapontical group was slighter than that of model group. Conclusion Radix Rhapontical Extract is able to protect liver fibrosis induced by CCl4 in rats.
