The Essential Oil Yields Comparison of Curcuma aromatica salisb. by Steam Distillation between 50 Meshes and 325 Meshes
Abstract:ObjectiveIn this paper the best extraction method by water vapour from Curcuma wenyujin Y.H. Chen et C.Ling powder and micronanometer powder were discussed and compared. MethodsCurcuma wenyujin Y.H. Chen et C.Ling was grinded into 50 mesh powder and 325 mesh micronanometer powder, then extracted by distillation method of water vapour. Conditions for the extraction percentage of volatile fluid were studied by orthogonal experimental design of L18(21×37). Influence of degree of grinding, process time of distillation, quality of water and soak period were investigated. ResultsFrom the intuitionistic analyses,it showed the influences as follows: process time of distillation> degree of grinding> quality of water> soak period. Analysis of variance show that in the process by distillation method of water vapour, process time of distillation, degree of grinding and quality of water influence remarkably, soak period influence inconspicious. The extraction percentage of volatile fluid was crowning at this condition: 50 mesh Curcuma wenyujin Y.H. Chen et C.Ling powder to add water for 8 times, distill 12 h. ConclusionIn the process by distillation method of water vapour, it is unnecessary to grinde Curcuma wenyujin Y.H. Chen et C.Ling to micronanometer powder. The soak period was taken no account of as influencing inconspicious. The optimum condition is Curcuma wenyujin Y.H. Chen et C.Ling powder of 50 mesh to add water for 8 times, distill 12 h.

温莪术为姜科植物温郁金Curcuma wenyujin Y.H.Chen et C.Ling的干燥根茎,具行气破血,消积止痛之功。用于癥瘕痞块,瘀血经闭,食积胀痛,早期宫颈癌[1]。现代研究表明,莪术治疗宫颈癌的主要有效组分是其所含的挥发油和姜黄素[2]。目前的研究结果显示:莪术同一品种不同工艺参数所得的挥发油收率也存在差异[3]。笔者采用水蒸气蒸馏提取工艺,以温莪术粒径、蒸馏时间、加水质量倍数、浸泡时间等为考虑因素,以挥发油提取得率为考察指标,进行提取工艺比较,现报道如下。
1 材料和仪器
1.1 材料
温莪术药材购于四川双流县温郁金基地,经鉴定为姜科植物温郁金Curcuma wenyujin Y.H.Chen et C.Ling的干燥根茎,粉碎为过50目筛粉末和过325目筛微粉。
