Analysis and Comparison of the Volatile Oil from the Stems and Leaves of Cinnamomum burmanii (Nees) Bl. by GC-MS
Abstract:ObjectiveTo analyse and compare the chemical constituents of the volatile oil from the stems and leaves of Cinnamomum burmanii Bl.. MethodsThe volatile oil was extracted by steam distillation, analyzed by capillary GC-MS and elucidated based on the standard mass spectral data. The relative content of each composition was calculated by area normalization method. Results41 and 42 kinds of volatile components were from the stems and leaves, respectively. The identified relative contents of essential oils were 96.78% and 99.72%, respectively. ConclusionThe chemical constituents of the volatile oil of Cinnamomum burmanii Bl. were reported for the first time. The results have provided scientific proof for the further developments of the medicinal materia.
