【Abstract】 Objective To understand the status of HIV infection and some mother to child transmission diseases of interprovincial married women at their childbearing age in rural areas. Methods 204 rural women with interprovincial marriage after 1995 were investigated by facetoface interview, health education,and blood sample testing. Results AIDS awareness rate is 8.97 % in 204 interprovincial married women of childbearing age. 12 women were found with hepatitis B, 8 with hepatitis C, 5 with syphilis, and 1 with AIDS positive screening test. The general infection rate is 12.75 %(26/204). Conclusion The interprovincial married women, mostly from Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces, have higher infection rate of AIDS and maternal and child transmission diseases (hepatitis B, hepatitis C, syphilis).
